The Government of Tamil Nadu has given permission to increase tamil movie ticket price up to Rs. 160. Theater owners demanded that the theater
ticket price to be raised and the ticket price should be brought same across
the country. In this case, Tamil Nadu government has issued a notification on
how much to increase the tamil movie ticket price. The AC Multiplex Theater price in
Chennai has a maximum of Rs. 160 / ticket and minimum Rs 50 has been sanctioned.
The maximum tamil movie price for non-AC theaters is Rs.120 and can charge a fee of Rs
40 as minimum.
